Eligibility

Proposals must be submitted by principals who are currently members of NAESP and intend on renewing membership for the 2017–2018 school year. The schools must be located in either United States or Canada. Schools that received this grant in 2016 will not be eligible to apply for a 2017–2018 grant. Instead, we urge those school leaders to become judges and help score new proposals. Schools that won this grant between 2010 and 2015 may apply in 2017.

The Foundations award grants to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations and institutions whose work aligns with our philanthropic guidelines. (We do not provide grants to individuals.) Grantee organizations must be based in and operate within the United States. Institutional quality and leadership are key criteria for all grants.

Eligibility

Created to support front-line educators who often do not have a voice in funding decisions, the Community Grants subsidize small, concrete projects, which will improve inner-city education in Boston (MA), Hartford (CT), Providence (RI), New York (NY), Orange County (CA) or Washington (DC), as well as London, England, within the coming year. The Foundation will generally consider grant applications monthly and award grants in an amount totaling not more than $2000 in any one month.

Funding may only go towards programming or projects located in the United States. Organizations that are based in the United States, but only offer programming abroad, are not eligible for the Annual Grants cycle. While the Foundation commends organizations that provide soccer programming abroad, we do not support such organizations financially through our Annual Grants cycle.
