Eligibility:

Public and private schools serving students in grades 6–12 may apply. The applicant program must have been in place for one year prior to the application date.

Applications may highlight the work of an entire department, a
selected course, a specific project or collaboration within a
course, or after-school opportunities for students.

Previous recipients of the College Board Award for Excellence and Innovation in the Arts are not eligible, but schools that have applied in the past (including those who have been semifinalists or received honorable mentions in previous Award cycles) are encouraged to reapply.

Purpose: This annual award recognizes and celebrates the achievements of arts initiatives that serve students in grades 6–12 and that promote student learning and creativity in exemplary and innovative ways.
