Eligibility: This grant is open to teachers and students in public high schools in all fifty US states, the District of Columbia, and in the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Ontario and New Brunswick.
Purpose: Learning To Drive Is One Of The Most Exciting Milestones In A Teen’s Life. To Support Teens And Their Teachers In This Rite Of Passage, YSA And State Farm® Are Offering YOUth In The Driver Seat, A Service And Learning Program That Includes Training, Ongoing Support And Consultation, And A $1,500 Grant To Implement A 14 Week Project That Encourages Safe Driving Habits, Service To The Community, And Student Achievement.

With Help From The Education Experts At YSA, Teachers And Their Students Will Design Their Own Academic-standards-based Project. Past Participants Have Included An English Class That Created Public Service Announcements About Safe Driving, A Science Class That Studied The Physics Of Safe Driving, A Civics Class That Launched A Town-wide Good Driver Campaign, And More.
