Eligibility: Meet the Basic Eligibility Criteria

Are an LSI member*
Are public entities, nonprofit organizations, or for-profit organizations
Or are programs/initiatives within the above**
Have an annual operating budget of at least $1 million
Have been in operation for at least five years
Have a presence and/or impact in at least one of nine LSI cities – Baltimore, MD; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Jackson, MS; Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; Oakland, CA; Philadelphia, PA; or Pittsburgh, PA
Are focused on at least one of four target impact areas: Attain Educational Equity, Expand Work Opportunities, Strengthen Family Structures, Promote Positive Frames and Messages
Are committed to the LSI Core Values
Purpose: Are You A Leader In An Organization Or Program/initiative With Strong Results?
Do You Have The Passion And Potential To Be A National Leader In Your Work To Improve The Life Outcomes Of Black Men And Boys?
Do You Possess The Social Entrepreneurial Spirit Of A Geoff Canada, Bill Strickland, Or Van Jones?

If You Answered “yes” Or Know Someone Who Can Answer “yes” To The Above — Apply Now (or Nominate Someone) To Become A Part Of The Leadership & Sustainability Institute’s 2013-2014 Black Male Achievement Social Innovation Accelerator.

A Black Male Achievement Social Innovator Is A Leader Who Has Shown Tangible Results In Improving The Life Outcomes Of Black Men And Boys And Who Has The Passion And Potential To Increase His/her National Leadership And Impact.

As A BMA Social Innovator, You Will Have A Unique Opportunity To Join A Cohort Of Fellow Leaders To Receive One-on-one Capacity-building Support, Be Connected And Showcased To Funders, And Become National Leaders In The Field Of Black Male Achievement.
