Samuel N. and Mary Castle Foundation Education Grant

Type: Foundations
Source: Samuel N. and Mary Castle Foundation
Program: Samuel N. and Mary Castle Foundation Education Grant
Eligibility: Organizations in Hawaii that are classified by the IRS as
501(c)(3), tax exempt agencies, and not private foundations.
Proposals submitted by government entities, such as public and
charter schools, will not be considered. However, projects that
include a public sector partner are encouraged, as it is recognized
that public agencies have responsibilities in these areas and are
important partners in developing early childhood programs,
particularly at the system level.
Purpose: The Samuel N. & Mary Castle Foundation is committed to
providing resources to improve the life of Hawaii’s children
and families by improving the quality and quantity of early
education. Their efforts are concentrated on creating greater
social equality and opportunity through improving access to high
quality pre-K education. Secondarily, the foundation provides
limited support for independent K-12 education, the arts, health,
historical and cultural projects.
