Peter F. Drucker Award for Nonprofit Innovation

Type: Foundations
Source: The Coca-Cola Foundation and The Drucker Institute
Program: Peter F. Drucker Award for Nonprofit Innovation
Eligibility:
What are the eligibility requirements for the award?
The only requirement is the organization must be an IRS-certified 501(c)(3). A copy of the 501(c)(3) determination letter is required along with the application.

We operate as a nonprofit under an umbrella organization, but do not have our own 501(c)(3) status. Are we still eligible for the award?
Yes, on the application list the parent organization as the applicant organization and list your operation as the specific program.

Purpose:

“In the years ahead, America’s nonprofits will become even more important,” Drucker said. “As government retrenches, Americans will look increasingly to the nonprofits to tackle the problems of a fast-changing society. These challenges will demand innovation—in services, and in nonprofit management. The purpose of the annual Peter F. Drucker Award for Nonprofit Innovation is to find the innovators, whether small or large; to recognize and celebrate their example; and to inspire others.”

Over time, meanwhile, the application process has become a
powerful tool in and of itself. By applying for the award, you will receive knowledge and tools to become a more Drucker-like organization in terms of innovation and beyond.

Deadline: 07-01-2014
