Responsible Sports Community Grants

Type: Foundations
Source: Liberty Mutual
Program: Responsible Sports Community Grants
Eligibility:
Any non-profit youth sports organization or educational athletic program can earn a Responsible Sports Community Grant, but an organization can only receive a grant once.

Twenty youth sport organizations with the most credited certifications will earn a Responsible Sports Community Grant to help defray the many costs of running a successful youth sports program. But don't think that just because you are a small organization you cannot earn a grant. Organizations are split into three groups or divisions.

The divisions for the Spring 2011 Responsible Sports Community Grant program are as follows:

Large organizations (100+ players)
Compete for one of seven (7) $2,500 grants

Small organizations (under 100 players)
Compete for one of seven (7) $2,500 grants

School/educational organizations (school athletic programs)
Compete for one of six (6) $5,000 grants
Organizations must be registered non-profit, traditional youth sport organizations or school athletic programs recognized by the governing bodies of their sport(s). Organizations must serve the community at large and must be open to the general public, without bias, prejudice or discrimination regarding participation. Liberty Mutual reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to exclude any youth sport organization deemed to be private and/or contrary to the goals of the Responsible Sports program. All grants applications are subject to verification.
