TD Charitable Foundation 2014 Housing for Everyone Grant Competition (East Coast)

Type: Foundations
Source: TD Charitable Foundation
Program: TD Charitable Foundation 2014 Housing for Everyone Grant Competition (East Coast)
Eligibility:

Unfortunately if your organization is based, and provides services,
outside of the TD Bank, N.A. metro market areas, you are not
eligible to apply for a grant as part of the Housing for
Everyone
grant competition. If your organization is based
outside of a TD Bank, N. A. metro market area, but provides
services within a metro market area, you may be eligible to submit
an application for the competition.
Purpose: he theme of this year's competition is Building for
the Future
; which will encourage the creation or
preservation of rental housing units for families with children.
Access to clean, safe affordable housing throughout the TD Bank
footprint is a challenge to thousands of low- and moderate-income
working people and families who cannot afford a place to live.
Nowhere is this lack of housing felt more acutely than among
families, particularly single parent families with children. The
lingering effects of the Great Recession, the foreclosure crisis
and the continued lack of employment opportunities and challenges
of earning a livable wage place an ongoing strain on neighborhoods
in urban, suburban and rural communities. This year's competition
seeks to focus on initiatives that will
provide Housing for the Future through
the creation of these new sustainable rental units that provide
safe, affordable, accessible housing for today and tomorrow's
families.
Deadline: 08-29-2014
Award Max: $100,000.00
