Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Grants

Type: Foundations
Source: Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children
Program: Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Grants
Eligibility:
Must be a United States /U.S. Territory applicant/organization
providing care to children in the U.S. or a U.S.
Territory.

Priority is given to projects with pediatric dentist
involvement. If a pediatric dentist is not participating, a general
dentist must be involved for funding consideration.

Purpose: Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children (HSHC) is committed to supporting
community-based initiatives providing Dental Homes to children
whose families cannot afford dental care. The American Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry defines a Dental Home as the ongoing
relationship between the dentist and the patient, inclusive of all
aspects of oral health care, delivered in a comprehensive,
continuously accessible, coordinated, and family-centered way. HSHC
supports this goal through its Access to Care Grants targeting
children up to age 18.
