Eligibility:
Local educational agencies (LEAs), i.e., public school districts including charter schools that are considered LEAs under State law. 

Purpose:
The purpose of the Project Prevent Grant Program is to provide grants to 
local educational agencies (LEAs) to increase their capacity to help schools in 
communities with pervasive violence to better address the needs of affected 
students and to break the cycle of violence.
