For this grant round, the Captain Planet Foundation will only award grants to schools and organizations based in the United States, which are exempt from federal taxation under Internal Revenue Code Section 501. This includes most schools, as well as nonprofit organizations exempt under section 501(c)3. Grant awards are conditional upon the Project Leader being employed at the same school or organization for the duration of the proposed project. Exceptions to this rule will be made at the sole discretion of the Captain Planet Foundation upon receipt of a written request. Recipients of current CPF small grants that are in good standing, or of previous CPF small grants for which final reports have been received, are eligible to apply for EcoTech Grants.
EcoTech grants are back! Sixteen (16) $2500 grants will be awarded to schools or non-profits organizations for the purpose of engaging children in inquiry-based projects in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) that use innovation, biomimicry / nature-based design, or new uses for technology to address environmental problems in their communities.
