Purpose:
The Phoenix Education Grant (PEG) is the first
national
scholarship endowment fund created for burn survivor students.
Barbara Kammerer Quayle, a teacher who was
burned in an
automobile accident in 1977, created the scholarship fund in
2001.
Her initial gift laid the foundation for
the PEG
scholarship fund.
