Hi. My name is Joe Mizereck. I launched www.GrantsAlert.com in 1996 with a very specific goal in mind: to help America's K-12 teachers and schools find the funding they need to educate our children. As a former high school social studies teacher, I know the challenges you face and I want to help you meet those challenges.
We research, identify and share information on available grants for K-12 teachers and schools. Programs that directly or indirectly benefit our schools will also find funding opportunities here. Access to this information is FREE and it is the most up-to-date alerts on corporate, foundation, state and federal education funding opportunities available. In addition, if you see a grant opportunity that you want to pursue but you need someone to write the proposal, we have a growing directory of Grant Writers ready and willing to help you.
Most of my life's work has been in the area of education and helping our children become more successful students, people and citizens. I am very passionate about this work and that is why you will find that this website is focused on helping K-12 teachers and schools.
My background as a high school teacher, President of the Southern Scholarship Foundation, Director of Grants Development for the Florida Department of Education, Executive Director of the Foundation for Florida's Community College System and current work as the Executive Director of the National Work Readiness Council has made me keenly aware of the tremendous challenges that exist in K-12 education. Let me assure you, my friend and partner Mike Schwefler (my tech wiz) and I are here to help you…so you can help our kids. It really is all about the kids.
Finally, Mike and I are always looking for ways to make GrantsAlert.com stronger, better and of greater service to you. If you have an idea on how we might make this a more helpful website, please let me know. Either call me directly at 800.761.0907 or email me at: email@example.com. You can also find me on Google+, Twitter @GrantsBuzz and on Facebook.
